DPRURE—Disaster Prevention and Resilience for Urban and Rural Engineering,China


Disaster Prevention and Resilience for Urban and Rural Engineering (DPRURE), China Association for Disaster Prevention, was established on November 29, 2018 under IEM. In accordance with the charter of the China Disaster Defense Association (DDA), DPRURE operates within the scope of the DDA's authority, and is a branch of DDA. DRURE is voluntarily composed of domestic and foreign research institutes, universities, disaster prevention and mitigation groups, as well as outstanding experts, scholars, engineers, and staff engaged in civil engineering and disaster prevention at home and abroad.


The purpose of DPRURE is to comprehensively understand and solve key scientific problems and technical problems in this field for the "resilient urban and rural" scientific plan, develop earthquake disaster control and prevention technologies, improve the level of urban and rural earthquake resilience, reduce earthquake disaster risk, improve the level of awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation in society as a whole, as well as building a scientific research alliance and academic exchange platform for the prevention and mitigation of earthquakes in urban and rural areas.
