Professor XIE Lili has been long-term engaged in researches on earthquake engineering and disaster prevention & mitigation. He has been appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations for 10 years as expert of the Ad-Hoc Expert Group of United Nations and Member of United Nations Scientific and Technical Committee, and received an award from the IAEE as the Honorary Member in 2008, which symbols the life honor in the world earthquake engineering area.
