Observation Center

The Strong-Motion Observation Center (SMOC) undertakes the task of processing and sharing strong-motion observation data obtained from the nation-wide strong-motion seismograph network, providing technical support for the National System for Seismic Intensity Rapid Reporting and Earthquake Early Warning of China, and providing technical support for the construction of buildings, Megaproject, special sites and terrain array for the China Seismic Experimental Site. The research field of SMOC include earthquake early warning and real-time hazard mitigation, strong-motion observation and processing technology, as well as building, major project, special sites and terrain array construction technology.
