Professor LIAO Zhenpeng has been engaged in engineering seismology and numerical simulation, who has promoted the development of strong motion, seismic microzonation and site effect in China. His proposed numerical wave simulation methods in inhomogeneous medium have been widely applied to the field of earthquake engineering and many other areas.
