Urban Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Research Center conducts cutting-edge research on the formulation, evolution, and reduction of earthquake disasters and their subsequent consequences for urban engineering systems. The efforts include but are not limited to research on urban and engineering seismic disaster reduction strategies, technologies related to disaster risk management and earthquake insurance, digital technologies for the construction of disaster reduction systems, assessment of earthquake disaster risk and seismic resilience in urban and rural areas, as well as the mechanism of secondary disasters caused by earthquakes.
