The Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering Research Center (GEERC) takes the engineering site and underground engineering as the object and focuses on the earthquake damage mechanism and related protection. Mainly，the research focus on: soil-structure interaction research, geotechnical dynamic properties and seismic response analysis methods of underground structures, soil seismic deformation and fracture theory research, foundation failure and site seismic effect research, geotechnical seismic design and reinforcement technology, and geotechnical damage monitoring and early warning and alarm technology research.
