Structural Engineering Research Center(SERC) conducts research on the seismic damage mechanism and protection of individual engineering projects. Its research interests include: seismic analysis methods and damage mechanism of buildings, seismic damage prediction of building structures, seismic performance assessment, structural vibration control and health monitoring, performance-based seismic design and seismic provision development; safety appraisal and retrofit of buildings; seismic fragility of cities and engineering projects, and earthquake disaster simulation.
